WordPress Development

How I build custom WordPress themes that clients can actually edit and developers can actually maintain. These notes cover theme architecture, ACF and block decisions, and lessons from real builds.

A WordPress site should outlive its launch

Many WordPress sites look fine on launch day and become a problem a year later. Page builders lock the content in, plugins overlap, and the theme is so tangled that the next developer wants to start over. These notes are about avoiding that from the first commit.

I build custom themes the classic way or with Sage by Roots, using Blade templates, a planned ACF field architecture, and blocks and patterns that editors can use without breaking the layout. The goal is a site your team can update confidently and any good developer can pick up later. See how I approach WordPress development.
