Notes from the work

WordPress Performance

How I make WordPress sites load fast and stay fast. These are real request waterfalls, Core Web Vitals fixes and caching decisions from client projects, with the numbers before and after.

Speed is a build decision, not a plugin

Most slow WordPress sites aren’t slow because of hosting. They’re slow because of what loads on every page: unused scripts, oversized images, render-blocking CSS, and plugins that each add “just one more” request. These notes break down what a fast page actually loads and why.

I measure first and fix second. I’ll look at the full request waterfall, LCP and INP from real users, and what the theme forces on every template, then remove what doesn’t need to be there. Performance also feeds directly into rankings, which is why it’s a core part of my technical SEO work.
